What is most important to YOU?
Mar 11, 2018Do you sometimes feel like you are doing, doing, doing but you are not very fulfilled?
Do you feel like you are not where you thought you would be in your money, career or relationship?
It may be because you are not doing what is really important to YOU.
A quick way to figure out what is really important to you is to analyse how you spend YOUR TIME and how you spend YOUR MONEY.
If you have a diary or scheduler, review it for the last month and make a list of what you spend YOUR TIME on starting with the thing you spend you most time on and then the thing you spend the second most amount of time and so on….
If you do not use a scheduler, start using one and track it for the next two weeks and then analyse what you spend most of your time.
If you use a budget or track your expenses, review the last three months and analyse what you spend most of YOUR MONEY on. Make a list, starting with the item that you spend the most amount of money on and then the second item is the thing you spend the second most amount of money on and so on…
Do you like what you see?
Is it reflective of how YOU really want to spend YOUR TIME AND MONEY?
If not, YOUR HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE IT.
First, rate yourself on your level of happiness with the time and money spent and general fulfilment you get in the following areas of life. Use a 10 point scale with 0 being not happy at all and 10 is where you are absolutely over the moon with this part of your life.
Career or Business
Relationship with Partner
Emotional Wellness
Money
Family
Physical Health and Wellness
Parenting
Fun, recreation, vacation etc
I want you to know if you don’t like the numbers, YOU CAN CHANGE IT.
Decide on your priorities and then devote the requisite TIME and MONEY.
The great thing is that you usually will have to devote less TIME and MONEY in the things you really want than you have been spending on the things that are not that important.
You have TIME but little MONEY – re-prioritize your time and put in your calendar devoted time on the thing that you deem the most important things in your life. Learn, learn learn. There is so much free information and books on ways to improve every area of your life.
You have MONEY but little TIME – Pay for help! There are many experts out there to help you in any area of your life. This is absolutely the fastest way to make an improvement in your life. Work with someone who has achieved what you want to achieve or has helped other people to achieve what you want to achieve.
You have LITTLE MONEY and LITTLE TIME – urgent attention is required because it only goes downhill from here if you do not change something urgently.
Simply put, if you cannot invest time and money into the things that are important in your life you will eventually have CRISIS.
CRISIS in your relationship
CRISIS in your health (physical and emotional)
CRISIS in your finances
