What exactly is Stress?

One day while feeling stressed about being harassed by these guys who clean the windscreens at the traffic lights I noticed and old lady put down her window and handed the guy some money without them even cleaning her windscreen. 

Same scenario but different reactions. 

Yes there are triggers of stress and there will always be. 

It’s our perceptions, beliefs and values that shape how we feel and how we react to situations. 

We all have Wants, Expectations, Desires and Hopes. These come from us (You).

Then there is the Current Reality (Outside of You/Others).

Stress comes when the Current Reality does not match our Wants, Expectations, Desires and Hopes.

In order to manage the stress most of us hope the reality changes, essentially hoping that other people decide to change.

This is one way to ensure we have continued stress!

We can only change ourselves, our perceptions, our beliefs, our stories. Almost all stress comes from the perceptions and stories we make up in our heads about the experiences that we have.

With the right system and process we can change our perceptions, beliefs and therefore our stress levels.
